The SF LGBT Center offer various virtual and in-person services, events, and workshops tailored to support participants’ job searches, networking opportunities with potential employers, and connect to further training and professional development opportunities.

The Diverse Leaders Fellowship (DLF) aims to support underrepresented LGBTQ+ leaders. They are looking for high-potential LGBTQ+ leaders who identify as transgender and/ or nonbinary, women, people of color, and/or people with disabilities, to apply to participate in the third cohort of the fellowship.

The Grantmakers United for Trans Communities (GUTC) Leaders Fellowship Program develops trans leadership in philanthropy to strengthen the pipeline of trans professionals in the field, with the long-term goal of increasing the number of trans people working and taking leadership in philanthropy.

ETR offers several training and technical assistance (TA) opportunities, including organizational development, that support a holistic approach to program implementation. ETR can customize professional development planning to support the capacity for effectively reaching program objectives.

Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition

MTPC offers training and capacity building support to assist professionals and community in developing inclusive spaces. We strengthen the infrastructure and skills within organizations and systems to enable them to be responsive and accountable to the needs of trans, nonbinary, and gender expansive communities. We cultivate trusted relationships to foster accountability and facilitate open communication when issues of privilege and discrimination arise.

​We offer workshops and trainings for organizations and professionals who want to provide an inclusive environment for individuals of all genders. We work with employers, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and religious organizations to create gender sensitive environments. Our approach is nonjudgmental and supportive—we want to work with you to create an environment where transgender and non-binary individuals can thrive.

Our trainings are trans-led, engaging & informative, paced for learning, and tailored to your site.  All of our trainings are facilitated by our team of trans and non-binary educators.

Motivational Interviewing for Beginners 

  • Charges a fee

This event provides an overview of Motivational Interviewing as described in Miller & Rollnick’s 3rd edition of their now classic work published in 1991. Basic information is presented for those unfamiliar and interested in learning more about this evidence-based intervention. For others, it will provide a review and/or update. We’ll cover the definitions, 4 processes, basic skills needed, and terminology used.
