Community Resource Guides

Resource Guide

What is a community resource guide? Community resource guides are lists of information about services and/or assistance programs tailored for a specific community, such as medical services and social support. These resources are made available to community members to help them access needed services, feel supported, and to provide information about their rights.

Transgender women may have a variety of needs that go beyond the services one organization can realistically provide. Therefore, it is important that programs put together a comprehensive resource guide that is kept up to date and is specific to their local community to help Healthy Divas Peer Counselors refer clients to needed services. To ensure that the resources listed are current and gender-affirming, it is critical that you contact each agency listed to obtain up-to-date information and ensure that they have trans-competent services. We want clients to feel welcome and safe at your agency. The purpose of this community resource guide is to highlight local community services that can meet the needs of trans and gender diverse people.
